FW CS3 - problem with exporting states of object.

    Level 7
      Hi!

Here is the file illustrating the problem
      http://fireworks.eu.interia.pl/test.png
Could anybody recreate this file using frames and/or pages under FW CS3 to
avoid exporting many unneeded files? My intention is to get only one file
containing panel body and 5 files with panel titles. I tried to move each
panel title to separate page and leave panel body on master page and then
export manually each page by page. Unfortunatelly FW doesn't allow to use
page slices which overlaps between pages. I gave up!

          Move your frames to pages
Remove panelbody slice from all pages except page 1
rename title slice on each page so it has a different file name
          File > Export
make sure Include Areas Without Slices and Current page only are UNCHECKED

          Worked like a charm.

            Please visit http://fireworks.eu.interia.pl/test2.png
The export creates 2 files even if slices in page 2 and 3 have different
names. Moreover I can't even export selected slice on those pages.... Always
I'm getting exported slice from master page instead of current page.

Small spelling was in delivered URL but I have guessed proper version. I can
see the difference between my and yours ideas. You have created copy of
project between pages which is usually inconvenient. I did another
modification: common graphics is placed on master page but all changable
elements as panel titles are moved to other pages. It was necessary to
delete slice "pageTitle" from master page because otherwise overlapped
slices on other pages was not exported. Conclusion is to avoid keeping the
first state of changable element on master page. The first state (and its
slice in consequence) must be created on second and next pages.

Now it works fine however FW asks a lot of times whether I want to overwrite
files or not. Always must exists any "but" :-)))

Thanks a lot Jim for your help!

I'd like to see your PNG if you're willing to share it. Chances are
you're getting that overwriting slice prompt because your pagebody slice
                    is on the master page.

Master pages may not be what you need in this case, because slices are
shared across all pages unless you intentionally break the link between
                    the Master and sub pages.
