    connection runtime error

    Online Fax Level 1

      When I connect to my web site using Contribute CS4 I get the following error, 'A runtime error has occured', see screen shot below. Next after

      I click 'no' through two of these messages the screen looks like screen shot #2 below. The two areas with text were previously

      flash elements, the onlinefax logo and the blue portion on the right of the banner. What's going on here, if I save the page it saves

      as screen shot #2 with the text in place of flash elements.

          Hi,

               I browsed to your website and saved the index.htm web page from your website.

               Regarding the first issue, the error message is shown because, there is a script error in the web page. The same error is thrown, when we browse to the web page in Internet Explorer. The error message indicates that there is a missing ')'. So, if you properly close the parentheses in the source code for the google analytics in the web page, the error message will not be displayed.

          Previously, the source code was -

          document.write(unescape("<mce:script src="" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js" mce_src="&quot; + gaJsHost + &quot;google-analytics.com/ga.js" type='text/javascript'></mce:script>

          You can change this to -

          document.write(unescape("<mce:script src=\"\"" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js" + "mce_src=\"\"" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js" + "type='text/javascript'></mce:script>"));

               Regarding the second issue, the HTML code is being displayed for the flash element. So, if you can correct the HTML code for those flash elements, then, that will not be displayed as such, when you edit your web page in Contribute.

          Previously, the source code was -

          <noscript> &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0" width="369" height="68"&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;

          &amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/object&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt; </noscript>

          for the second flash element.

          You can change these to -

          <noscript> <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=7,0,19,0" width="369" height="68">

          <param name="movie" value="newlogo.swf" />

          <param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="newlogo.swf" mce_src="newlogo.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="369" height="68"></embed>

          </object>

          <a href="http://nashville.app.bbb.org/ratingreport/37031607" mce_href="http://nashville.app.bbb.org/ratingreport/37031607"></a> </noscript>

          for the first flash element, and,

          <noscript> <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="296" height="167">

          <param name="movie" value="banner.swf" />

          <param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="banner2.swf" mce_src="banner2.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="296" height="167"></embed>

          </object> </noscript>

          for the second flash element.

          To make these modifications, you will be editing the source code of the web page. So, in Contribute you can browse to this web page, and click File -> Actions -> Edit in External Application menu item. The web page will be opened in Notepad or any other HTML editor. Make the changes and save them. Switch back to Contribute, click 'Edit in Contribute' link, and publish the web page.

          Hope this helps. Cheers.
