Also, you say that you "unzipped" the update. Can we assume that you also installed that?
Yes the update has been unzipped and installed.
I have now followed the link and unzipped the licensing file. It still will not allow me to go past the Welcome screen in starting a new project. The last item to be seen before the program stops trying to load any components to the Adobe program is "Loading Windows Media" in the top right corner.
I'm sorry I can't be of any help. There's clearly something going on at an operating system level on your computer.
