It's hard to tell because performance issues can be something very specific in the file, as other large files do not demonstrate this issue but a seemingly very similar one might. For example, I believe one of the kinds of issues we fixed was having a very specific line or fill style nested levels within a movie clip (and only this, no other setups) caused slow scrubbing - so such things can be super specific. If you can link to a file that demonstrates the performance issue it would let us investigate what the problem might be.
hi! This sounds reasonable; the animation is actually build with
vectorized data so there will be plenty of fills and line styles.
Please find the animation here for further investigation:
Please let me know when you downloaded it so I can remove the link.
Grabbed the file!
Are you seeing this problem when dragging the playhead (scrubbing) on the main timeline? Are you doing anything else before interacting with the playhead, or can you see it every time just by opening the file and scrubbing the playhead on the timeline? Do you have to have any other documents open to reproduce the issue? Also, could you share your system specs (OS, ram)?
Actually the problem occurs whenever I try to scrub the playhead on the
timeline. After opening the file I am not doing anything before dragging
I have yet not encountered this problem with other animations (I acutally
havent opened many timeline animations with CS5 as yet).
