I am using the spark videoplayer to in FlashBuilder to make a custom player. I want to add cue points dynamically and someone suggested to try the new version of OSMF. I see that OSMF does allow cuepoints but now I have another problem...
I was installed the new osmf.swc in FlashBuilder and now get this error:
1046: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: DimensionEvent.
I looked at the version of OSMF that ships with FlashBuilder and found that DimensionEvent is in the library, but it is not in version 1.5 from the web site.
This is where I got the most recent OSMF file: http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/osmf/Downloads
Does anyone know why this is the case and/or how I can use OSMF with the spark videoplayer?
Any help/insight would be appreciated!
As far as I understand, the built-in Spark VideoPlayer component is based on earlier version of the OSMF (I believe 0.7).
So, if you want to use this built-in component you have to stick to that version, which comes with the current release of FB.
If you want to use newer version of OSMF you have to write the code for the video player (which is explained and shown in examples in OSMF Developers' Guide).
How do you know VideoPlayer is built upon OSMF 0.7 ?
In Flex 4.5 they must have fixed it because it works just fine, but I get the same bug as OP's in SDK 4.1...
