My computer recently died, so I had to install Dreamweaver on
a new machine. Everything is working great except I can't see
images in Dreamweaver with absolute (universal) addresses that are
hosted on my site.
I can see images with relative addresses and I can see images
with absolute addresses on other sites.
When I go on-line and copy the images locations from images
already on my site, and paste those addresses into Dreamweaver as
an image location, all I get is a grey broken image symbol.
When I upload a page that has images (albeit those I can't
see now in Dreamweaver) everything looks great on-line, so I know a
problem isn't with the coding or links.
In the "Site Definition" under "Local Info" in the "HTTP
Address" slot, I had written the website address. When I added to
this address my office's directory off of the main site the images
started showing up.
