    Check if application is installed

      Hi all,

Is there any way for an AIR application to check to see whether a native application is installed?

I've a situation where I'd like to be able to open iPhoto from an AIR application. While there's a good chance that a user's iPhoto will be located at /Applications/iPhoto (and as a result, I'd be able to use the openWithDefaultApplication by creating a new File pointing at '/Applications/iPhoto'), there's no guarantee that it will definitely be there. Some people move applications around their file system, and I'd like to avoid sniffing through a user's directory structure to find a match for iPhoto. I guess I'm looking for a way to access launch services via AIR. Is this possible?

      Cheers

      Sean
