I would recommend you download all of the content. There's some very good stuff in there!
You can use the HD templates on regular DVDs and the DVD templates in HD if you'd like. It's not the best, but you can do it.
It's easy to tell which are HD templates. Just go to the Disc Menus tab. The hi-def templates are the ones that have HD in the upper right corner. (Other indicators in the upper right corner tell you if the template includes audio, video both in the background.)
Thanks for the advice Steve. Do you have any ideas as to why when I view the available themes under the Disc Menus tab the thumbnails for the HD project themes are all greyed out whereas the thumbnails for the non-HD themes display a sample picture. Also, when I click on the HD themes they don't play any sample audio, whereas the non-HD themes do.
Is this normal, or could this be a problem with the trial version?
I am really loving PE9, and I would really like to work this out.
There are third-party components in the program that will activate automatically as you work. It's possible the hi-def components haven't activated yet.
They will, as you work. Most likely as you edit or add video for a hi-def or AVCHD project. (Although they won't activate in the trial version of the program -- which is why you're not seeing them yet.)
Thanks for that Steve. I just imported some video for a AVCHD project and it didn't seem to make any difference, but I will play around with this some more and report back.
As I said, Casho, these component won't activate on the trial version -- so it may not go on it.
Thanks for the clarification. I didn't pickup that point in your earlier post. Looks like I will have to get the credit card out and make a purchase.
