Hey guys... I'm working on a project where panels are
dynamically added/removed from a canvas. What cleanup can I
perform, besides removeChild, to ensure that all resources are
properly cleaned up?
In short, when the user clicks the close button on the panel,
it should be removed from the parent - but all its subsequent
resources and data need to be cleaned up as well, so I don't
generate memory leaks when the user keeps adding / removing panels.
Does Flex handle this completely? It seems unlikely, from a
programming perspective - once the display object is removed from
the parent container, I would assume that the object would still
exist in memory.
