I am new to Premiere, but an experienced editor that has been out of the loop for the past few years. I have edited on non-linear machines before, but am rusty and am diving back in.
Right now I am stuck on accomplishing an effect in Premiere that I deem very simple, yet am having a difficult time understanding how to get it done.
I do not have After Effects, and honestly I would think it overkill for what I am trying to do.
What I have is a piece of music with some sudden beats that I want to bring pieces of video in rather quickly.
the effect starts with the video scaled rather large, and on each beat it bumps down a size until on screen at normal scale. My problem is that I do not want the scaling to be fluid. Instead I want to jump to the next keyframe without motion in the scaling process.
I can't seem to find a way to turn this scaling off.
Please, someone point me in the right direction.
Select your keyframes, right-click, select Hold.
Good question ...nice solution.
Thanks so much. I knew it had to be easy.
I've been away from editing for several years and I miss it terribly. Am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.
After I get going I hope to do some free lance work out of my home. Am wondering if any body else has experience editing projects from home.
When I did this full time I edited commercials and promos, corporate videos....
