First, a couple of thoughts:
1.) Have you updated your audio and video drivers to the very latest?
2.) Have you updated Apple's Quick Time Player?
3.) Have you updated PrE8 to 8.0.1?
If you answered yes to all of those, we'd probably better look a bit deeper. This ARTICLE will give you some ideas as to what info would be so very useful. The more details, the better.
This is aimed at Premiere Pro, but may help
Work through all of the steps (ideas) listed at http://ppro.wikia.com/wiki/Troubleshooting
If your problem isn't fixed after you follow all of the steps, report back with ALL OF THE DETAILS asked for in the FINALLY section, the questions at the end of the troubleshooting link... most especially the codec used... see Question 1
Those suggestions worked, thanks so much
And I mean THANK YOU.
A couple more questions do you know how I can get training on this product?
Also, I just bought the product a few months ago and now I see there is a 9 version, is there anyway to get the upgrade without paying the upgrade fee?
Thanks again, Anita
I think that the best training will come in three steps:
1.) go to Muvipix and read Steve Grisetti's Basic Training Series.
2.) though not free (it is with a subscription to Muvipix, which will offer so much more), his Learning Series is great.
3.) also through Muvipix, Steve has several excellent books on PrE. http://Muvipix.com/pe9.php
I would investigate those and in that order.
