For a limited time, the full-color version of my "Muvipix.com Guide to Premiere Elements 9" (based on my 6 years experience as host of this as well as the Muvipix.com user-to-user forum) is on sale at Amazon.com.
Hope you'll check it out!
Of course it went on sale...after all I ordered it at full price on Saturday and received it on Tuesday. That's par for the course for my online ordering experiences.
Steve, great job on a book!
Over the last 3 years I got spoiled by Linda.com Not sure how everybody else feels, but I would rather see a video lesson than to read a page or two. Don't get me wrong, I read books. It's just when it comes to software learning...I find video tutorials are so much more effective. I purchased Jacob Rosenberg's Premiere Pro 2.0 book and reading its 600 pages was a huge drag....
Now, I am a "book person," and get far less from video material, than from a good reference book. However, that might have something to do with my advanced age. I want to have the book available, and in my briefcase, while flying across the globe. Maybe some day, I will embrace the Kindle, or similar. Until then, give me my books.
Sorry you paid full price for the book, Clyde!
I owe you lunch next time you're in town.
Thanks so much for supporting the book!
Will the book be available from the UK Amazon anytime soon, I see that they have your Premiere Elements 7 on their site.
My books will hopefully be available on Amazon in Europe soon.
Meantime, I'm glad to have one shipped directly from my publisher to you -- although I'm finding that the shipping costs are almost as much as the book itself!
But if you are interested, I'm glad to do it. Just send me a private message here or on http://Muvipix.com.
Those are used copies from Amazon sellers, not from Amazon itself. I'm lucky enough to have a copy that I won in in Steve's recent 'lucky draw' on muvipix. It arrived yesterday (thanks Steve) and looks good. I'm now waiting for my 15+ hour download of PRE9 Additional Content to complete and will then install the trial and work through the book over the next week or two.
Insanity is hereditary, you get it from your children
Glad to hear the book arrived, Neale. Enjoy!
Maybe I need to pick up 50 copies, sneak them into my luggage, and then set up a little stand on Picadilly, right by where the double-deckers load, up from the Ritz. I have been known to spirit a few 0.375 ltr. bottles of Zinfandel to friends in London, so what would be wrong with a few books?
When I return, I'll just fill that suitcase with Cuban cigars. If I get caught, I'll pull the Paris Hilton defense - yes, it's my suitcase, but I have no idea how those Cubans got in there...
