No MPEG2 HD presets in PRE9 for BD burning. It was there till PRE8.

So the hdv users can only convert there mpg2 hd to h264 bd disk.
If you are shooting in any hi-def format, the video will need to be re-encoded when you produce a BluRay disc regardless. Even if you're feeding HDV in and gettiing MPEG2 out for your BluRay, the video is still being encoded to BluRay format -- so it's not more efficient to create an MPEG2 BluRay.
In fact, since all BluRay players can play H.264 video and since H.264 is a more advanced codec, it makes much more sense to go with this codec for all BluRay discs.
