the swf file should be attached to your email.
It is, when the pereson I send it to tries opening the .swf file all they see is 5 rings that alternate flashing in
the middle of the ad.
then you didn't attach it correctly. the problem is in the server-side script(s) you're using.
Ok, so this is not something to adjust within Flash or my banner ad? How do I adjust my server-side script(s) to the correct ones? Where can I find the correct scripts?
correct. that's not an actionscript issue (unless your swf needs to do something for the server-side script to work correctly.
how are you attaching your swf now?
Basically I am sending a banner ad to a company for their website...When I send it (just attaching the .swf file to an email, not embedding within the email or anything special) the only thing they see is five white rings on a black stage.
The only thing I need within the actionscript would be the banner ID for the receiver's website so they can link my ad to my website. For not I am leaving that out so there is nothing within actionscript.
I will pay you $20 bucks via Paypal to make this ad compatible to where I can send it attached to an email without an issue. I can send you the .fla...
Let me know what you think.
lol. ignore all my above posts.
zip your swf and attach it to an email. if they need the embedding html, zip that in the same package.
before sending that to them, unzip your own package and test to make sure your swf displays/works correctly.
