I am new to this flash building thing. My documents were created in Photoshop at 2880 x 1702 400dpi. I import them into flash and place them on my stage and the photos fit within the stage box perfectly. When I test the movie all I see is a small part of the image. Is this a resolution issue? I usually create logos and high resolution is better, but is that approach incorrect for building flash?
Any advice (other than I should buy CS5) is appreciated.
the best way to use images in flash is to create images with the same size they will be displayed in flash. so, if your stage is 2880 x 1702 (or larger) and you're not scaling down the image for display, you're ok.
well, you're probably not ok even if the above conditions are met. you also have to be creating an app that will be displayed on a known device that can display that without scrolling.
If those conditions are meet (image size) but I still only see a small portion of the image, what else is wrong?
from most likely to least likely:
1. the information you supplied is not accurate
2. your stage is scaled in the ide
3. your image is scaled
