So you want to know how to access the TextInput.text parameter from your main.mxml in your popup component?
If so you there is a couple of ways to do this
1) If your main.mxml has the <Application/> tag in it you can reference the application via Application.application.nameOfTextInput.text (this is a very ugly way to do it but can be done)
2) you can do popUpWin.textParameter = textInput.txt after you create the popup.
bdeen i think you got it wrong :P I think he wants to access a property in the popup from the main app.
Give the textInput an id and then on your main app you can do this for example:
var test:String = popUpWin.textInputName.text;
Please note that it is recommended to make a cast for the popup window:
popUpWin = popUpWindow(PopUpManager.createPopUp(this, popUpWindow, true));
msabljic , sounds like you ran into the same problem as me, perhaps... I posted a question similar to yours around the same time. Take a look at the responses I got and maybe that will help answer your question.

dimival understood my obviously bad explanation of the problem :) and i managed to solve it with casting my pop-up window just like he said because i previously declared it as IFlexDisplayObject. Thank you teliche and bdeen also, i really appreciate it.
