It appears that After Effects 4.1 is the most recent version of After Effects that can open a project file from After Effects 2.0.1.
What version of After Effects are you running now?
We'd be willing to convert one project for you, just because we're nice.
cool! currently i'm using cs4. how do i get you this file?
p.s. i designed a poster for an independent film and was asked to animate the title i designed for the trailer. i used after effects but had trouble outputting the film rez files. tech support sent me a special build of ae that solved the problem. now you guys are stepping in to help again - a huge thank-you!
p.p.s sitting in the lab screening room and watching my animated title projected IS and always will be a highlight of my career...

If we can, we'll convert it to an After Effects CS4 project and get it back to you. We need to dig up a machine with After Effects 4.1 installed; there should be one around here somewhere.
