As we've indicated in your other post, g, your photos should be no larger than 1000x750 pixels in size (at 72 ppi) for best results and most efficient program performance.

Have you got a copy of Photoshop Elements?
If so, go to File/Process Multiple Files.
There you can select an entire folder full of photos and have them automatically resized (and saved to a new location, so you don't overwrite the originals).
