Site FTP BUG - Is there a fix?

    GmR
I have two site definitions for the same domain: one FTPs to the root (Site 1), the other to public_html folder (Site 2).

If I have a file open using Site 2, putting the file changes the selected Site and puts the file in the root folder. It does work if I PUT the file from the file list, but not from the open document. It is very frustrating. Is there a fix for this?

      Thanks
      Geoff

          Which DW?

Honestly, I have similar site definitions, and have never seen this happen.

I've been a Dreamweaver user since the first version in mid 90s, and the problem only became apparent to me a few months ago... it drives me crazy. I use the program daily in my work, and know it very well.

I haven't done a reinstall, but I suppose I could. It's likely the installation is corrupt if no-one else has this problem.

            Cheers,
            Geoff

I have been having a similar issue, where I PUT the file and it doesnt arrive on the server immediately; even after refreshing the server directory. Then suddenly it will show up maybe ten to fifteen minutes later. I agree it is frustrating. but it doesn't happen all the time but rather intermittantly.

Dont have a solution though. Just thought I'd mention it.

That's a server issue. When you PUT the file, it's there.

Me too. But I've never seen this problem with similarly configured sites.
