Sorry that I'm not an expert either, but under what conditions do you wish the state to change?
States are normally changed as a
response to an event...You need to find the right type of event for you to implement what
you wanna do. It could be a click event, creation complete event, or HTTPService Complete event...What exactly are you trying to archieve
This is my objective: User runs the application, he sees the background for a moment then some text fade and move into the screen. After this he can start interacting with application.
I have state1 where only background is visible, I have 4 labels with their positions set, but they are invisible. When state is changed to state2 these labels will move and fade into this second state. But I want this transition and effects done automatically without need for user to do anything to see this animation.
I'm probably going to do something like this for my current project in the way of a "splash page." I've never tried it, but I'm going to see how an "embedded SWF" that I'll create in Flash works for this purpose.
