Has anyone tried installing AdobeAIRInstaller.exe in a Windows 2008 terminal instance?
We have a need to run our AIR application inside a EC2 / AWS Terminal Session (windows server 2008). However the installation fails, reporting the installation has "...stopped working...and trying to find a solution...." No solution found. And not sucessfully installed.
On different machine (not EC2), where the AIR installtion was installed successfull (at the screen), we DID have the air app running inside the terminal session, but it was running really slow.
Is this behaviour normal? It only seems to be a issue inside a windows (2003/2008) terminal session.
Any ideas much appreciated.
We are experimenting the same issue, we have tested in several AWS EC2 virtual machines in windows 2008 Server, always fails.
I'm in exactly the same boat. Adobe, please fix this.
We have moved on from this problem...but two things:
* I read somewhere about it bing a issue with webkit...and AIR using webkit to display html (as far as I know)
* Also, have not tested (in ms terminal/AWS, dont think it would work), but we are using logmein.com instead on of ms terminal...but that is very different than AWS instances....
Not sure if this helps anyone.
So, Please uncle Adobe investigate.
