Hi, thanks for stopping by.
I've a mov file I'm looking to convert to a gif. Under Export for Web & Devices, it all looks cool except.... I think it's deciding on the colour pallette based on the first frame so.. because the first frame is essentially black and white, that's the pallette it comes up with for the whole set of frames. Onframe 10.. there's some red however... and it doesn't look to me as though the pallette is dynamic.. (which I kinda wouldn't expect it to be, but just checked anyway). Can anyone advise on a strategy? How do I get PhotoShop (CS5) to recognise the pallete for the whole frame sequence?
Thanks for being interested whether or not you can suggest any thing. Have a good day. Sun's out here, hope it is where you are. Cheers.
Oh boy, how easy... in the timeline window for the mov (when it's open in PhotoShop) just move the play head to where all the colours are present before choosing Export For Web & Devices.... uhuh. Then you get offered the 256 option and the colour table appears. Storming.
