I am writing a script that extracts certain information from all the textFrames in my document.
Each text frame contains only characters that have the same font, font size and colour etc (i.e. completely uniform over all characters). I want to be able to extract the C,M,Y,K components of the swatch that is applied to the fillColor of the characters in the textframes.
I have tracked down the object
but I cannot find any documentation on the elements in the properties object (which I am presuming contain the CMYK values, I am looking for).
Can anyone help? Either by expanding on what I have been doing or else by telling my I am getting this completely wrong. I am new to InDesign scripting and have been getting on okay with it. However this one has me completely stumped!
The fillColor property contains a reference to a Color, a Tint, a MixedInk, or a Gradient object (it's usually a Color). Take a look at the properties of the Color object in the ExtendScript Toolkit's Object Model Viewer.
