1. Re: Encore Messed up Premiere Pro Export!!!!
Mach10Media Oct 21, 2010 4:42 PM (in response to emin3m33)I think your problem is that the DVD standard does not support HD footage, so encore (via Adobe Media Encoder) down-rez's your HD to SD in order to burn on DVD. You might want to check out this tutorial by Jeff Bellune :

Hope that helps,

emin3m33 Oct 21, 2010 5:23 PM (in response to Mach10Media)i actually exported onto a dvd folder instead of onto a dvd. Same thing. The video has jittery edges and really poor quality.

Stan Jones Oct 21, 2010 5:58 PM (in response to emin3m33)The primary question is whether the EN project you used was DVD or Bluray. The method for putting Bluray on a DVD disk requires a Bluray project small enough to burn on a DVD, correct?
If you are actually trying to burn a DVD project, then look at the link David provided.

4. Re: Encore Messed up Premiere Pro Export!!!!
emin3m33 Oct 21, 2010 6:01 PM (in response to Stan Jones)That link is broken and I am trying to put a blu ray project on a standard dvd. I chose DVD settings when encore opened up. I will now try to just encode from Premiere as mpeg2 and c if its giving me the same problem.
My main concern is that I hope Encore doesn't mess up my field order because I like to shoot whole movies in progressive.

raj2ashok Oct 22, 2010 12:53 AM (in response to emin3m33)Encore indeed supports 24p(23.976 fps) for DVD. Choose the "NTSC DV 23.976 High quality 7mb VBR 2 pass" transcoding preset for your progressive footages.

7. Re: Encore Messed up Premiere Pro Export!!!!
emin3m33 Oct 22, 2010 7:08 AM (in response to raj2ashok)Where do you see those options? Because Everytime I open up encore(new project) it ONLY asks me for is this a DVD project or BluRay? They only let me select lower or upper field.

8. Re: Encore Messed up Premiere Pro Export!!!!
emin3m33 Oct 22, 2010 7:18 AM (in response to emin3m33)I mean I really DONT see any settings for progressive mode in Encore. Transcode settings only gives me DVD or Blu Ray. Do they just not care about progressive?

9. Re: Encore Messed up Premiere Pro Export!!!!
Stan Jones Oct 22, 2010 8:50 AM (in response to emin3m33)Not where I can look, but go into Transcode Settings, bluray, and if that is not a drop down option, go into edit settings.

10. Re: Encore Messed up Premiere Pro Export!!!!
emin3m33 Oct 22, 2010 9:02 AM (in response to Stan Jones)btw i did an mpeg2 export from premiere, and the problem seems to go away. I guess mpeg2 blu ray cant be downgraded to sd in encore.
