I used Windows Installer Clean Up and it removed Adobe Reader. I tried to download the new Adobe Reader and get an error message that it is already installed on the computer. It is not listed in the Add/Remove programs. I have search the C drive and nothing shows up. Also, I cannot open any .pdf files. Yet it will not install because of the Error Message that reads Already Installed.
Can anyone please help me solve this problem so I can download the Reader. All other Adobe Air, Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Shockwave downloads with no problem. It's the Reader that won't install.
Since you mention Add/Remove Programs I assume that you are on Windows.
What was the version that you had previously installed?
Can you try to run the updater from C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Updater5 (or Updater6) and see if it downloads and installs an update to your "already installed" Reader?
Or can you try to manually download an MSP update that is newer than your previous Reader installation, e.g. http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/9.x/9.3.4/misc/AdbeRdrUpd934_all_incr.msp
