I can use a new TextField.StyleSheet in flash, but not an external CSS. I was trying to simplify my problem. But using the TextField.StyleSheet doesn't work either, bullets still stay black. In actuallity, I am pulling the html text from an xml file and it is being pulled at runtime thru a couple different flash files. Too hard to explain is why I was trying to keep it simple.
you don't need to use an external ss:
var ss:StyleSheet = new StyleSheet();
var ul:Object = new Object();
ul.color = "#00ff00";
var p:Object = new Object();
p.color = "#00ff00";
this.txt.html = true;
this.txt.htmlText = "<P> This is the first paragraph</P><BR><UL><LI>Bullet 1</LI><LI><BR>Bullet 2</LI><LI><BR>Bullet 3</LI><LI><BR>Bullet 4</LI><LI><BR>Bullet 5</LI></UL>";
Found my problem, I have to publish out as flash player 7... so it doesn't work the same way. If I publish as 8 it works fine, but that doesn't help me with my problem as having to use 7. We are still in the stone age as of now, trying to upgrade but not there yet. I think I might be able to get away with publishing as 8 for this. So thank you for all your help...
that should work with fp 7 or better. why it doesn't, i don't know.
