I am working on a project that consists of slicing up about 15 episodes of a TV show, so I suppose it may considered a larger project. The project is stored on an external drive so that it's not taking up space on my local hard drive which has limited space. Although Premiere's cache options are all set to store in the project folder ('Same as Project' on the external drive), I have found a few locations where Premiere data is being stored in the system library on my local drive. What's the deal with that?
I'm using Mac, FYI.
Because some ifo defaults to said locations(small things like prefs, presets, layouts etc)/maybe you openned an auto save project....... check if your scratch disk folders are set to your external with the project open...
Yep. It was the media cache preference that I overlooked. Those get stored in the system folders by default.
Thanks for the tip!
