I'm having problems with saving pdf files so others
can still edit them. When I create and save the document the first time it works fine, but when I edit it myself the only option I have is to 'save as' and when I go to replace the existing file it saves so no other user can edit the pdf. Any Ideas?
Adobe Reader cannot "edit" a PDF file so we'll need some more details.
What it CAN do is fill in forms that someone with Adobe Acrobat has added fillable fields to but they aren't saveable unless they have also been specially enabled using Acrobat.
So more detail about what you are actually doing with the PDF would help us.
We are using acrobat to produce a special order form. The original was saved as a template with
fillable fields. everything works great until we try to save as I mentioned above. I hope that helps.
