Problem with judder on cross-dissolves from pictures

      Hi,

I'm working on a DVD project and still having some problems with a number of cross-dissolves from pictures. The programme is footage from a concert enhanced with some still photos, which are on a layer over the top with 100% opacity. I have usually applied motion to the photos. On a number of the cross dissolves either into or out of the pictures, there is a problem with the render, the live footage judders. There is a green line above and no frames are reported as being dropped.

I have captured the footage as nomal with my Matox Axio LE, and it plays back fine without the photos. The format of the pictures is mostly JPEG, would it help to covert these to BMP?

Any suggestions appreciated. Please let me know if I need to supply more details.

Using Premiere Pro CS3, Matrox Axio LE

      Thanks,

      Daniel

My first thought here is to drop the Matrox.  And when I say drop it I don't just mean set up a project without it.  I mean remove the hardware, wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows from scratch so that no trace of it is left anywhere.

Matrox has caused so many issues and Premiere just plain works better without it that Matrox will always be the first thing I'd inspect.
