What happens if you remove the this.close()?
Same issue. The original window stays put, so I can see both windows, but the drop down control still doesn't work with a single click first time round. If I double click the drop down (and it opens), then close the new window and open it again from the original window, I have to double click the drop down again.
If I add two drop downs to the new window and double click one of them, they both work with a single click, but only after double clicking first.
EDIT: ComboBox behaves in a similar way; I can single click into the text input but to open the drop down for the first time in a new window I have to double click it. From then on it opens every time with a single click.
Nice. This works.
I tried applying this to my company application. However custom components featuring drop downs that load into the new window still didn't work. I had to add setFocus() to the creationComplete for each custom component to get the drop downs to work with a single click.
Thanks very much. I'll head over to the bug site now to report it.
