Make sure you are getting the firmware pack from the nVidia site and not just the driver. It should work.
On the other hand, if it doesn't -- well, this is why they have test drives. Yours may be one of the rare configurations this program will not work on.
The latest WHQL generic 'Verde' laptop driver is 260.99. You can get at it by completing the webpage at http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us (obviously select the correct O/S and Language version).
Insanity is hereditary, you get it from your children
can you give me a link for the firmware? My computer is brand new toshiba it should work.
Going back a bit, Toshiba rewrote all video drivers, so those directly from nVidia would not install. Do not know if this is still the case, but I hope not, as they never issued any driver updates for my Satellite (still have not, and it's been 6 years). I had to "roll my own," from the nVidia drivers.
Do not know about any firmware, but I would think that Toshiba should have that, plus any updated drivers. I'd definitely start my search there first.
My computer is a toshiba satellite 2010 with an I7 processer shouldn't it work with it. Ic ouldnt find any firmware can you guve me more details on how to find the firmware i went to the NVIDIA site but didnt find the firmwar thanks!
can yiu exolain how you "rolled your own" i really need this program to work
I have never had the need to update any nVidia firmware, but only the drivers, so I cannot be of help - sorry.
Good luck, and I hope that Toshiba has a better program now, than they did when my Satellite was in use.
i got tech support from toshiba and it is running smooth. If you have any questions so that next time someone has this problem you can give them help. Let me know.
Would you be so kind as to share what Toshiba T/S had you do to clear things up? That will help others in the future.
Glad that Toshiba T/S has improved from when I had the Satellite. I never got any response from them at all.
Also glad that you are now up and editing. Good luck.
First you go to
- Then You Click Download
- The select category(laptop)
- Then choose family (like satellite)
- And then you choose your model #
- After that hit go
- Then refine search By selecting 7, 64 bit or whatever sytem you havefrom drop down menu
- Then choose display on the second drop down
- Then choose the newest NVIDIA driver
- Heres the trick part once you download, run it make SURE when you extract files, that before you hit start that you save the file to a folder or it will not complete the download it took me two hours to figure this out hope that helped!
Thank you. That will likely help others in the future.
