    LR3 and Photoshop CS5

Recently after upgrading to latest varsion of LR (6.3RC) and CS5 (with Camera Raw 6.3) on Mac I noticed an unexpected behavior (or is this normal?).

When I open Raw file (Canon 7D) in PS5 from Lightroom it does not show any dialog box asking how do I want to open the file, but instead it opens in PS directly rendered version of the file (PSD). In LR preferences there is no option to choose raw file, I can choose only psd or tif.

So the question is, is this normal and how to change this behavior so I can open raw file in PS in Adobe Camera Raw as raw file. When I try to open photo in PS directly (without LR) then it opens normally in Camera Raw.

I apparently miss something but I do know what.

Since you have version parity (LR 3.3 and ACR 6.3) there is no need to see the warning dlog regarding rendering. Also note that since there is parity between the versions there is no reason to try to open a raw file from Lightroom in Camera Raw. The rendering is identical (although the usability is slightly different). Do the raw work in Lightroom and then open the file in Photoshop using its toolset. The only time you might consider combining Lightroom and Camera Raw is when you open an image in Photoshop as a Camera Raw Smart Object...there you can use both Lightroom then the Smart Object version of Camera Raw together...
