    Page Jump

    614mike Level 1
      This site is still on my desktop so I am going to try and explain it. I have a table that has some columns of copy in it. When I get to a certain point, usually past the height of my browser where it starts scrolling the page starts to jump as you go between pages. If I delete some of the copy it straightens out, but then I add copy to it goes back to jumping. All the copy has the same css style too. Any idea what is wrong?

          Just guessing: is the vertical scrollbar present on some pages and not
          others? If so, try adding a rule to the body:

          (This code works in Opera also)

          html, body {
          height: 100.1%;
          margin: 0 0 1px;
          }

            Yes, that is the only page that scrolls. I put that code in the .dwt file but it is still having that problem, here is what it is now...

            body {
            vertical-align: top;
            background-image: url(../images/background.gif);
            background-repeat: repeat-x;
            height: 100.1%;
            margin: 0 0 1px;
            }

              That's not good enough.

              The correct CSS rule to use should NOT be merged with another rule. It's -

              html, body { min-height:100%; margin-bottom:1px; }
