Oh! I'm so sorry! That's terrible news!
I will miss him very much. He was a very talented man. He's been sick on and and off for years now...
Peter, if you know his family, please send condolences.
While I only know Tues from the interaction on these and other adobe related forums, he will be missed...
His incredible knowledge, which he so readily shared with those of lesser skills.
His humor witnessed via the reponses and comments.
His willingness to help anyone no matter how difficult or trivial the question or how many times it had been asked before.
I will say a prayer for he and his family
Just to make sure no-one misreads this:
Teus is (was) NOT Jongware. Jongware is still very much with us! The fact that they share names has confused many people over the years...
Teus de Jong and I worked for the same publisher for several years. I did mainstream work, he was responsible for the publisher's top shelf publications.
His excellence in design is shown by frequent nominations for "Best Designed Books"; this year for a Dutch translation of Fjodor Dostojevski's "Crime and Punishment" (in collaboration with Anneke Germers).
This is very sad news. Teus was one of the very early adopters of InDesign scripting, and one of the first posters on this forum. Better than that, he was great (virtual--never got a chance to meet in person) company. I'll miss him.
I'll add my wishes and condolences for the family. Like others, I never met Teus in person, but considerd him a friend, one of the first I met here on the forums. I will miss him.
I've added a post on the main discussions page for those who may not wander in here.
It's always sad to lose a friend and colleague. Teus and his contributions to the community will be missed by many of us.
Thank you Peter.
That was a very nice touch.
Please do forward all our condolences to his family. They might appreciate knowing how highly we all held of him. (Unless of course, you feel differently.)
Innovations in Automation
Very sad news. I hope it's conveyed to his family that he will also be missed by many, many people from around the world.
A kind, generous man who had infinite patience and class. Coding for GoLive and Bridge got me started in the Adobe Ecosystem. Coding for InDesign made it a career for me. Teus was one those who helped me immensely, and made the last 7 years of my career possible.
I knew this day was coming. Alas, I had hoped it was going to be another decade or so.
So long Teus. Words can not express my gratitude for you. Mankind lost a good one.
With love and prayers for Teus and the de Jong family.
Great man with big and generous heart! Always here to help and give suggestion!
He will be missed.
My deepest condolences to his family.
Regards from Serbia,
Marijan Tompa (tomaxxi)
