I would like to build up a web application which should do
The first step will be that the user will upload a ppt which
will be converted into seperate SWF´s and the files will be
written into a XML file.
After that process the user can start recording: It will open
up a web page which will load the above XML file (main frame) and a
SWF file which will record video from the user´s webcam and
audio from the user´s microphone. The user can start recording
and when he would like to move to the next slide, he can press a
button. In this process the time (how long he spoke to the first
slide) should be written into the above XML file.
Does anybody of you have any suggestions for me to do that.
Sounds like you want to build the same thing that already
exists as Adobe's breeze / connect.
What you're suggesting will require a lot of time/effort and
knowledge, and may require a reasonable budget depending on how you
do the media server side of things. If you have all those then
you'll be fine.
Converting from powerpoint to flash... I don't know.
The video and audio recording requires flash media server (or
red5 open source).
As I far as I can understand, you need two things at least.
1. Convert PowerPoint to Flash
You may have a look at this PPT2Flash SDK.
http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-flash-sdk.html This is a PowerPoint to Flash pramming library for
integrating to a desktop application or for a server slide
