1. Re: CS5 Animation: is fly-out text window possible?
Eugene Tyson Nov 4, 2010 7:33 AM (in response to cj_mcmillen)Yes it can be done.
You need a button on the page, that when you roll over it triggers the action of something else.
Firstly make the animation for the sign to fly in.
Then put a hotspot on the building (which is a shape converted to a button) and then on the RollOver State - use the + icon to select Animation - then select the animation you created.
Now when you roll over that hotspot it triggers the Animation
And it's not a good idea to put SWFs in email - many spam filters autmatically remove this filetype, and a lot of firewalls do not allow this file type in email - and SWFs can be quite large so perhaps not everyone would be able to receive a file size that large.

cj_mcmillen Nov 4, 2010 7:36 AM (in response to Eugene Tyson)Thanks, Eugene for the quick response! But, I didn't think this type of animation was supported as an interactive .pdf?

Eugene Tyson Nov 4, 2010 7:38 AM (in response to cj_mcmillen)You said it was being distributed as a .swf via email?
You didn't mention PDF anywhere?

4. Re: CS5 Animation: is fly-out text window possible?
cj_mcmillen Nov 4, 2010 7:43 AM (in response to Eugene Tyson)When I looked at my export options I was going back and forth on whether or not it would become a .swf or .pdf, and it looked like I was 'stuck' with it being a .swf due to the animations I was using. So when I saw your point on distributing via e-mail, I thought I'd have to turn the .pdf option.
So, OK, sticking with it as a .swf, this means I'll have to post it either to an FTP or web site and e-mail the link then?
