I have a bunch of Quicktime Pro-Res 422 files and i was wondering what would be the best Adobe Premier preset to export it as, In order to achieve the best quality possible?
You're going to have to clarify this a bit more. Do you have ProRes files you want to edit with in Premiere? If so, you don't need to convert them--as long as you have QT installed, you can edit them, even on a PC.
Or are you saying that you've already edited, and now you want to do a final export for viewing, or for editing elsewhere?
Per Colin's questions, if it is the latter (Export of finished edit), please let us know what your delivery scheme will be, i.e. BD, streaming media for a server, viewing on computers, etc.. That will help other direct you best.
Good luck with the Project, your classes and welcome to the forum,
My short answer would be Uncompressed AVI.
If you're trying to deliver high quality files exported from Premiere for someone to edit with or render final export (like for final HDCam delivery) out of Mac, you should probably use the QT setting with the Uncompressed YUV 10 bit 4:2:2. Some peole suggest the "animation" codec, but the Uncompressed YUV is likely best.
are you referring to the AVID 1:1x - codec ?
