1. Re: How to Mix Export and Burn 5.1 Surround in Premiere CS4
able123 Nov 7, 2010 9:06 AM (in response to jbandy)HI,
sounds like fun...making surround sound stuff..
you have to buy the surcode thing...no way to get "back" free trial encodes...
I dont know about encore... dont use it....but why not give it a try and preview it before you burn ? Since I dont use encore I dont know what you can do with it re: preview...someone else here can help you with the encore question
ps..I use ( and think most here do ) wav files ( 48khz, 16 bit, stereo ) for most sound stuff...and I guess I would use my sound program to export that stereo file as a mono wav file to do the surround stuff...

Harm Millaard Nov 7, 2010 7:42 PM (in response to jbandy)Should I use wma files for audio or something else?
PCM WAV 16 bit stereo @ 48 KHz.
Do I have to use Dolby Surcode upon export to burn in Encore? When I first upgraded to premiere CS4 I used my 3 free encodes while testing our the program, is there any way to get them back?
Yes, no.
When importing the Audio into Encore is there anything special I need to do or can I just drop the Dolby 5.1 track onto the timeline as I would normally with at stereo track?
No, yes.
