This is what Sony says about the camera:
In addition to 1080/60i recording, the HDR-AX2000 offers a 1080/24p and 1080/30p Progressive Scan mode that enables shooting with film-like results. Signals scanned at 24p/30p are converted to 60i (using 2-3 pulldown for 24p) and recorded on MemoryStick PRO Duo™ media.
So this leads to another question then, does it even do any good to record to 30p if its acually recording 60i?. And if its recoring 60i should I even bother editing on a 30p timeline, or just out put the final product progressive?
Just edit it an interlaced project. Depending on the final destination it needs to be deinterlaced (e.g. for the web).
