    Can't activate CS5 MC

      Hi. I've got CS5 MC and can't activate it on my work laptop. It says that I've reached the limit for the license. I had it activated on a drive that's now been surplused to be wiped but I know I deactivated it there before removing/surplusing; and it shouldn't be activated anywhere else. Is there any way to deactivate the other instance that it thinks I'm still using and get it installed on my laptop? Thanks.

          IIRC, there should be a phone number to call for such things. That's a dedicated department for activations.

           

          Call and explain the situation. Nobody here can do anything to help.

            Thanks, Bob. I found the online chat and spoke to tech support who were able to resolve the issue.

                This just happened to me but i have Adobe WP, I deactivated it on one of my one computers before trashing it. Now thats its on a new computer I can't activate it. It says its activated already on two computers. I talked to tech support twice already, in total of 3 hours plus besing asked to uninstal and reinstal it 2 times (+2 hours), they said they fixed it from there end but when I tried to activate it it just says cant connect to the internet. They even did the thing where they loged in to my computer with that share desktop program, although most of the time (90%) they were doing nothing

                I have even went though and deleted all adobe related stuff from my computer be4 reinstla. (as in I got crap cleaner to delete all traces of adobe even in registry)

                 

                The tecks so far couldn't help me and just kept on trying to hang up the phone saying that "it will work as long as I try a little later after the next instal is done" by running "ping adobe.activate" or some crap which did nothing as well.

                 

                Please help, I think everything is good from my end I just need this issue resolved from Adobe's end.

                  There is a dedicated phone number for activations which should be displayed when the activation is denied. Call that number.

                    I was able to use the online chat to get help with deactivating my copy of CS5. Adobe tech was nice enough to check on his system to ensure the copy was dactivated; then I wiped the machine and was able to reactivate a copy on another machine.
