Hello. I am new to Indesign, so please excuse me if this is an easy thing to solve...I have been looking online for an answer all day...I keep seeing articles about scripting, but none seem to explain how to do exactly what I'm looking for. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
I have about 100 different documents (files) that all need to have an image replaced. I'd like to know if InDesign (or Bridge) has some feature or pre-written script that would allow me to easily replace each image and save the document under a new name? Sort of like how automate batch works in photoshop.
can someone guide me in the right direction please? Thanks so much!
If it's the same image in every document you could just replace the image.
The image should be linked to the document and not embedded.
I basically am looking to save myself from opening up over 100 documents...replacing the image in each...then saving document as another file name. I actually have to place 4 different images total...one in each document...so I will be doing this 400 times. I guess I could name each image the same thing...so that the file automatically pulls it in?
