I didn't manage to get your assets load either. Are they still up?
Ty the following assets with your modified Strobe Media Playback:
(mind urlIncludesFMSApplicationInstance setting, which you need for accessing cloudfront assets).
Looking forward to your reply,
Hi there ...
The URL's you provided did work ... however when i enter the addresses
provided to me, they don't work. Still no clues as to why though...
I was asked to use JW
<http://developer.longtailvideo.com/trac/testing>player to test the
stream and it all worked fine. One thing i noted is that
I have to split the address into two properties (using the rtmp://
s14swvywt7xype.cloudfront.net/cfx/st as the streamer in their test,
and 50/50_500x280_496.flv as the file)
It works, on my machine
(you need to remove .flv from the url string)
I managed to get some of the mp4 files working by editing the URL's I think
that there are some problems with the URL paths
this doesn't work
this does.... any ideas why? the first url is the one supplied from
cloudfront cdn, the second is edited by myself
Btw, here is how Brian Riggs described it for another person having this issue:
"Typically, RTMP URLs do not include the ".flv" file extension. I suspect that you got this to work in another player because that player is more lenient than OSMF, and strips off the extension. We opted not to do so, out of the belief that a framework shouldn't change the URL behind the scenes, but should surface errors."
Hope this helps and sorry for the confusion!
RTMP doesn't like file extensions. We didn't do any adequate job documenting that before, but our new 1.5 docs are going to mention it. It trips quite a few people up.
