jbandy Nov 12, 2010 9:44 AM (in response to jbandy)Thanks for the response and links. This is very helpful I'm going to try using the Gspot app. first
It is labeled a .AVI but the codec used is a h.264. The file was created using a program called AVS4You Video Converter 7 and came from a Blu-ray of 007 Tomorrow Never Dies.
Any other information is helpful, I will keep you updated.
If I don't have the appropriate codec on my computer how would I install it so that it I can use the file in Premiere?
Thanks!

Since most people here are professionals (I am not, but don't rip) I doubt that you will get much help with taking from a commercial disc

You're actually not legally allowed to reedit that stuff. Stick to using material you shot yourself from a pro-level camera and you should be fine.
