You can't. If they weren't in the book you need to get your money back.
But I gotta ask...why are you bothering to try to learn a program that's been dead for 10 years?
Thanks for our reply.I bought it used for $7 from Amazon. Probably cost that much to return it.
I used Pagemaker years ago when I was designing stuff and it worked pretty well. I changed careers and never touched it again. I was hoping to get back into it and learn how to use some of the new features to make some extra money. Is there another Adobe product that replaces it or is the recognized industry tool?
New features? Sorry, but I have to laugh about that. PM is dead.
It was killed off quite some time ago and has been replaced by Adobe's flagship product InDesign. We like to refer to it as zombie-ware. Dead but still walking the earth.
Adobe has a very generous upgrade offer to InDesign from Pagemaker.
Note that the Mac version requires an Intel machine.
If you're looking to learn, then I strongly encourage you to make the move to InDesign. There are countless places to find help, including the InDesign User to User forum here on Adobe.com. You'll be hardpressed to find any help for using Pagemaker today.
