Can you give an example of what you mean by multicolumn?
Two or more columns for the data and labels.
As far as I know, multicolumn support will not be added in Flex Hero. Feel free to file an enhancement request at http://bugs.adobe.com/flex/ and we can consider adding support in a future release.
I completely agree with you that..in many real world situations.. no multi column support makes flex form pretty much useless..
i used MultiColumnForm (for halo) which i found from http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Multi_Column_Form_Layout-9644.html
but this is not a complete component and you have to adjust the code so as to fix the spanning of the columns and marking of required fields.
i tried but wasnt completely happy..
i found that the best way was to use Grid container to mimic the laying out of the formitems like how you would do with html scripts.
Sorry i just found out that hero form lets you do this easily with ConstraintLayouts
FormItemLayout extends the ConstraintLayout.
you can lay out your FormItems with more flexibility.
