I may have missed what you're trying to do, but I think you can get what you want by going to the "Interpret Footage" command up in the menus at the top.
For great lower thirds and other effects, check out www.digitaljuice.com. They're not free, but they're very good, and usually have editable layers.
thanks for the input...I checked quick and interpret footage doesn't have an option to change the aspect ratio...
all I'm looking for is to reformat the video background that's replacing the green screen to a 640X480 ratio or modify it somehow to get as close as possible...
any other suggestions from anyone - I need to get this done asap?
Scale it up
Change the PAR if its wrong (Interpret footage)
or combination both
or get a new BG
Effects Control Panel > Motion > Scale
Seems that Craig and Colin gave you the same general solutions, that I did in the PM.
Seems that many of us go with the Motion>Scale for the initial "background" Clip, then Rt-click it, and choose Copy. Select all other background Clips, and then Rt-click on those, choosing Paste Attributes.
Good luck, and let us know how it works,
thanks for your help guys....very much appreciated...
it worked out for me following you directions...
Have a good one!
