when the transitions become more and more complex in a file, it always takes a while to process a new action. during the processing, FC uses not more than 25% of the CPU resources. is that possible to use more CPU recourses to increase the speed of processing the file? thanks
I expect that you have a four-core CPU, and that you are seeing a single core running at 100% while the other three are doing nothing.
There are many operations in Catalyst that run multiple “threads” and hence are able to use more than one core. Unfortunately many of the complex editing operations are very difficult to spread over multiple CPUs.
So, for these operations it is unlikely that you will see a higher CPU utilization.
That said, it might be that we could use that CPU core more efficiently in the future.
Yes, I have an i5 CPU, and it runs on a single core.
Thank you very much for your answer.
