What server? Where?
How will the script be run? On which computer?
Ok. let me try elaborate.
Does that make sense?
Should we use plugin for invoking InDesign App at client's machine?
This sounds like you are trying to use InDesign as a web service. You need InDesign Server for that...
No. InDesign has to be used as a desktop application. Our client will work on the InDesign application invoked by our script being executed at clients machine.

You mean, start Indesign up on another machine when it's not running? I don't think so, using standard scripts -- InDesign already needs to be running before you can start a script on that machine.
I don't think any of Adobe's scripting languages can start another app on another machine -- you might want to try with Bridge, but I think that's a long shot.
but we need to invoke InDesign at client's machine using some mechanism. Please refer to http://www.integration-x.com/video/5/5.html for the same.
It would be great if some one could suggest in this regard.
It would be great if some one could help. I am stucked in this. I need to provide some data from my web server to InDesign running on a client's machine. And then upload the document back to the web server using InDesign. Do I need to develop a plugin for the same, If yes then please help?
