I work in IT and I am experiencing an issue with getting Premiere pro elements Version 9 to start a new project when the program is launched as a network user, the network user profile when they log into a mac maps to an xserve.
I am receiving the following message for all network users who try and create a project/open a project or open the organizer database, the error message I am receiving is displayed below:-
Failed to perform the database operation as the organizer database is busy. Please try again later.
I have trashed the organizer elements prefs and premiere elements prefs with no joy. I have tested the premiere elements program when logged into the mac as a local user (not on the network) which launches fine and allows me to create projects with no trouble.
If anyone as any knowledge of this issue I am experiencing your input would be greatly appreciated.
There are some unique challenges to using Premiere Elements on a network, Marc. I'd recommend you contact Adobe Tech Support.
And make sure you ask to speak to a supervisor. The folks who answer the phones are usually just working from scripts.
Check for the network settings and firewall and the most important thing i would like to know is that how did you installed the product.
