I have tried everything I can think of to get adobe reader to show files with thumbnails as opposed to only showing the default adobe reader icon. Can anyone tell me, have they removed this option? Or is there some hidden setting within the reader program that I need to turn on? I have tried right clicking in the folder and selecting Enable/Disable Thumbnails but it does nothing in regards to the reader files. I have downloaded the version 10.0.0 program in hopes that it would be fixed from the 9.4........... no change. Unfortunately, this is a new computer running Windows 7 Ultimate so I have been unable to download any of the version 8's of reader, I do know that on my previous laptop I had 8.5.something and it showed the files in thumbnail view as a default setting.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Can you please mention if Windows 7 OS in your machine is 64bit or 32bit?
Shells extensions features like thumbnails, PDF tab view etc are not available
with 64-bit OS. Only preview is avaialable same as in Reader9.
